Ann Rose Santoro

Biography
Ann Rose Santoro has been in education for 30 years. She began her career as a one on one teacher’s aide for a handicapped student in 1985. Since then she went on to acquire a Master of Arts Degree in Education and has taught grades 1, 2, 3, and 4, in Stamford, CT and Port Chester, NY. Santoro has taught and designed curriculum in all subjects, served on school-wide and district committees in Port
Chester. Santoro has held office as both President and Vice President of the Port Chester Teachers’ Association for over 20 years. Santoro currently serves on the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Teacher Advisory Council. Santoro also served as a New York State Department of Education’s Common Core Ambassador. After 27 years as a classroom teacher, Santoro has transitioned into an Instructional Coach position and serves the four elementary schools in Port Chester. In this leadership role, she designs and provides innovative professional learning and networking experiences for teachers.
