Biography

Lauren Hill is a National Board certified 8th grade ELA teacher at Leestown Middle School in Lexington, Kentucky. Lauren founded and directs Classroom Teachers Enacting Positive Solutions, a teacher-powered organization, which has served over 100 KY teachers since its inception in 2014. CTEPS helps teachers become more efficacious in the classroom and as leaders in schools and districts. Lauren began her career in education 1990. She has taught in a prison and at a high school, served as a middle school instructional coach, and worked as Teacher Leadership Coordinator for the Kentucky Department of Education where she supported teachers in hybrid roles across the state. She also coaches teachers to become virtual community organizers and to facilitate professional learning for the Center for Teaching Quality. She is a graduate of Barnard College and Vanderbilt University, with additional coursework in research at the University of Kentucky.
