Missy Callaway

Biography
Missy Callaway, co-director of the Louisville Writing Project, is a Goal Clarity Coach for Butler Traditional High School in Jefferson County, Kentucky. In her past life, she was a high school English, Journalism, and Creative Writing Teacher for 20 years, a recipient of the Kentucky Alpha Delta Kappa Excellence in Education Award, a National Writing Project module developer and tester for the Literacy Design Collaborative, and an adjunct graduate school faculty member at the University of Louisville. She currently serves on the Teacher Advisory Council for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, is a fellow of the National Writing Project, and
is a Core Advocate with Student Achievement Partners. She is a founding member of KYEdvolution and JCPSForward, two grassroots teacher leader networks with a mission to elevate teacher efficacy and voice in the state of Kentucky. Callaway holds a Bachelor of Arts, a Master of Education, and Rank I certification from the University of Louisville, and is currently a doctoral student in Educational and Organizational Leadership at UofL.
