
Biography
Shelly Stanton is a technology integration specialist for Billings Public Schools in Montana. Prior to this position, she taught business education for 14 years. As a National Board Certified Teacher, Google Certified Innovator, Authorized Google Trainer, Nearpod Author, Google Innovator Mentor. and day-to-day teacher, she has had the opportunity to reflect on the practice of education to ensure students learn content while still being engaged and innovative. She is also a state trainer and ambassador for National Board Certification, a state coach for the Teacher Leadership Initiative, a facilitator for code.org, and a board member of MT STOY chapter. She has been named Montana’s Business Teacher of the Year (2012) and Montana Association of Career and Technical Teacher of the Year (2013). In 2016 she was named a Montana Teacher of the Year state finalist and also the 2016 Montana Digital Lead PBS innovator and a Google Innovator Mentor. Most recently she was recognized as Billings Education Association Teacher of the Year and it was a great honor.
