Shenise White is a native of Greenville, South Carolina. She has 14 years of teaching experience. She currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia where she has served as an Atlanta Public Schools educator since 2003. Her teaching experience
spans from 1st through 4th grades. She has taught 1st grade for the past 7 years. During her tenure in Atlanta Public Schools, she has earned her Gifted, Reading Endorsement, and Teacher Support Specialist Certifications. She was honored with the Atlanta Families Award for Excellence in Education in 2011 and served as her school’s Teacher of the Year during the 2011-2012 school year. She was also one of 2 district representatives selected to serve on the inaugural Bill & Melinda Gates Teacher Advisory Council from 2012-2014. In 2014, she collaborated with 7 other educators to plan and host a district convening that elevated and celebrated
approximately 200 educators.
