Introduction: As a component of the collaboration between NNSTOY and University of Phoenix (UOP), a research team from the UOP Center for Workplace Diversity and Inclusion Research is leading the development of a white paper. This important document will focus on the current status of Black male educators in (pre) K-12 education. OLUKỌ fellows play a vital role in this project, as you have valuable insight into these topics within your extensive experience in school settings.
As you progress through your fellowship, we ask that you keep a journal (electronic) to provide insight on specific topics related to the white paper (see chart below). Specifically, this white paper will focus on three crucial areas related to Black males in education: Recruitment, Retention and Advancement.
Journal Requirements: Please send journal submissions in an electronic format (Microsoft Word document). There is no set word requirement or length. Just remember, the more information we have, the more insight we can include in the document!
