by Jeanne Muzi

Grades K-2, Grades 3-5

In this series of videos, I describe the importance of introducing many moments during the day when students do quick thinking activities based on simple questions.

Part One: Introduction

In part one of the workshop, I describe some of my strategies for finding small pockets of time during the day to do questioning activities with students.

Part Two: 4 Questions

In part two of the workshop, I invite participants to try the “4 questions” activity. Then I describe other techniques I use to build persistence and stamina in developing good question-asking habits.

Part Three: Thinkaramas

In part three of the workshop, I describe Thinkaramas – rapid fire brainstorming activities based on simple questions like “what are things that are red?” Then I invite participants to try a Thinkarama.
