Improving retention and bring joy to a young learner using the “See, Say, and Do” approach.

Grades K-2

In this series of videos, I use the “see, say, and do” method with kindergarden students to help them learn the shapes and sounds of letters and remember high frequency words.

Down, Up, Curve - r

In this video, the students are learning to see, say, and do the letter “r.” They begin by saying the shape of the letter and tracing that shape with their fingers in several ways. Then they write the letter.

High Frequency Words

In this video, I work with students on the high frequency word “can.” I ask them to trace the letters, say the word slowly, and make sure that their eyes match the sounds of the individual letters.
